Dr Ackerman is a sports medicine physician and endocrinologist, and medical director of the Female Athlete Program in the Sports Medicine Division at Boston’s Children’s Hospital. In this podcast, she shares her knowledge and expertise around various issues concerning the female athlete, including the menstrual cycle, relative energy deficiency in sport, and bone health, as well as where research in female athletes is heading.
