The Financial F.I.R.E. Fighter   Out of State Real Estate Investing from Honolulu, Hawaii all the way to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Born and raised in Honolulu and a Firefighter for 15 years. After coasting along for 44 years I became aware of how risky I was being with my finances during the shutdown. Learned more in the past 2 years by self-educating then I probably did by getting my degree in accounting and finance. I believe that you can live where you want but you need to invest where the numbers make sense. In basically 1 year I went from 0-14 rentals out of state by using HELOCs and emptying out retirement accounts and also doing a 1031 on a 1 bedroom, 500k condo in Hawaii.
