The Fire, the Fake Tears, and the Brothel Under the Roof: How a Daughter-in-Law Murdered Her Elderly Mother-in-Law for Profit

Describes how Amal, after marrying Saber in a village in Sohag, Egypt, slowly alienated him from his widowed mother, Haja Sariya. Over five years she turned their once-respectable home into a discreet brothel, manipulating Saber and intimidating his mother to keep the operation hidden. When she began to fear exposure and coveted Haja Sariya’s savings, Amal and an accomplice killed the elderly woman, stole her money and gold, and tried to disguise the crime by setting the house on fire. Police investigators uncovered the murder, the theft, and Amal’s secret business, leading to death sentences for Amal and her partner in crime. You can listen and download our episodes for free on more than 10 different platforms:https://linktr.ee/crimenight1Produced by:https://www.podcaistudio.com/
