The First Clue

from Bloody Good · host Autumn Doerr and Maria Notaras

Autumn and Maria share their backgrounds, their different views on their favorite British TV mysteries, introduce their executive producer, Glenn, and explain why the podcast has more than one theme song.  Maria breaks the rules and gushes over Truth Be Told, a non-British mystery. They talk about the lighter side of murder, the Brokenwood Mysteries, and Maria expounds on her favorite dark, twisted thriller series from Britain's next door neighbor, Sweden's Gåsmamman; and, keeping things in the deep end of the pool, they talk about their favorite TV pathologists. facebook.com/bloodygoodpodcast instagram.com/bloodygoodpodcast/ [email protected] SHOWS MENTIONED THIS EPISODE Body Farm - BritBox Gåsmamman (aka Goose Mother aka No Time to Mourn) – MHz + Viaplay The Brokenwood Mysteries – Acorn TV Truth Be Told – Apple TV+ BG'S FAVORITE SOURCES FOR BRITISH MYSTERIES Acorn TV Amazon Prime Apple TV+ BritBox MHz Choice Netflix  PBS  CREDITS Created, Hosted and Written By: Autumn Doerr and Maria Notaras Executive Producer: Glenn Milley Music Supervisor: Karl T. Shedding the designer suits and Hermés scarves, she eventually became part of the original teams that created Comedy Central, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, On-Air with Ryan Seacrest, The Queen Latifah Show and The Real. She's produced thousands of celebrities on talk shows and red carpets and received four Emmy Awards for her work on The Rosie O'Donnell Show and The Wayne Brady Show.  When she's not convincing talk show guests to feed live tigers or helping the Muppets interview stars on the red carpet she's bingeing her favorite British murder shows, talking about them with Autumn and agonizing over the perfect Bitmojis to send out with every text. AUTUMN DOERR (Creator + Co-host) Autumn has always been a firebrand who conquered the radio, television, and podcasting worlds  (*ahem*). Her credits include hundreds of hours of television, a public radio show, and a podcast on how the origins of the vampire story made Dracula, Dracula. Her favorite writing gig was for a documentary on the history of horror for Blumhouse. She's produced a multitude of true crime series, and top-rated cooking competitions. What do these diverse genres have in common? Mystery. Will the Final Girl get killed? Will the real killer be captured? Will that souffle fall? And, as a life-long mystery fan, she has written two mysteries, Baker's Dozen and Free for All, and is polishing up her third novel in The Lexi Fagan Mystery trilogy, The Sins of the Mother.  (Available on Amazon).  www.autumndoerr.com/  GLENN MILLEY (Executive Producer) Glenn Milley is an Emmy® Award-winning television producer and four-time nominee based in Los Angeles. He has produced consistently for such brands as CBS, Hallmark Media, Amazon Prime, Hello Sunshine, Facebook Watch, Fox Nation, and NBC. Glenn won his first Emmy® in 2021 alongside Jada Pinkett Smith and the Red Table Talk team for Outstanding Informative Talk Show for their work on Season 3 of the worldwide hit series that received over 1.5B+ views.  When he's not producing, Glenn is working on his screenplays with an iced coffee nearby. His hobbies include quoting The Devil Wears Prada every chance he gets.
