The "Five" with Taz Bentii
from The Dawg and Gus Show Hosted by Dawg and Gus
🎙️ FROM OTTAWA TO THE WORLD — TAZ BENTII JOINS DAWG & GUS! Ottawa has a growing hip-hop scene, and Taz Bentii is determined to put it on the map. The young rapper has been making moves far beyond his hometown, recording in major American music markets, touring, collaborating with TVGUCCI and connecting with industry heavyweights like DJ Holiday and Big Heff. But behind the music is a young artist with big ambitions and a genuine connection to where he comes from. We sit down with Taz to talk about his early days making music, developing his signature melodic sound, navigating the challenges of the music business and the inspiration behind projects like Eleven Eleven and The Kid From Ottawa. We also get into his single “REALEST,” building relationships in the American hip-hop industry, what it takes to stand out in today's crowded music scene and why he believes Ottawa has the talent to compete on a much bigger stage. It's a conversation about ambition, determination, music and representing your hometown — with the usual Dawg and Gus laughs along the way. 🎧 Taz Bentii on The Dawg and Gus Show.
