The Five W’’s of Broadcast Journalism and how they might relate to your spiritual life

In my academic pursuit of a degree in broadcast journalism, I learned the importance of gathering information for a news story. The emphasis focused on the the five w’s - purpose being to capture the whole story in the most concise and entertaining or dramatic form possible, using true facts , not speculation. The Goal: to inform the reader with reliable, factual infotmation that have they a full accountability of the fire, the accident, the act of violence etc. They got answers . They were not left wondering what, or where, or who. ******In our spirit life, by contrast and , to the chagrin of so many, we never get the whole story. Rather, we get bits and pieces at a time. As we act in faith, we get a little bit more and a little bit more. For those who don’t understand the faith walk this can be quite concerning. These anxious ones need to know all the details. They need to know all of the five w’s to their life story. Please be awakened to this reality: that’s not going to happen. God reveals these details on a “need to know” basis.
