The Flagship: Alamo Bowl recap, inside look at potential assistant coaches

The Longhorns once again came ready to play in post-season action as Texas posted a monster upset over then No. 11 ranked Utah in the Valero Alamo Bowl. The bowl game performance was solid at all three phases of the game and marked one of the most complete performances from Texas this season. But as the dust settles from the 8-5 2019 season, all focus is turning to what Tom Herman and Co. will do with the remaining assistant coaches at Texas.With newly hired defensive coordinator Chris Ash and offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich on campus, the interviews for the vacant coaching positions have officially begun. Horns247 reported over the weekend that running backs coach Stan Drayton and co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Herb Hand will be retained by Yurcich, which leaves the offense seeking a tight ends and wide receivers coach.
