The search for the next wave of Texas assistant coaches is making progress as head coach Tom Herman looks to complete the hiring process as soon as possible. After first-year defensive coordinator Chris Ash made the decision last week to not retain co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach Craig Naivar and cornerbacks coach and recruiting coordinator Jason Washington, Texas continues its search to replace now seven assistant coaches from the 2019 season.
