The Fly-In | Iran MOU, Inflation Spikes, and the World Cup with Rep. Greg Stanton

from The Fly-In · host New Democrat Coalition and Congressman Greg Landsman

This week, co-hosts Congressmen Greg Landsman (OH-01) and Marc Veasey (TX-33) are joined by Congressman Greg Stanton (AZ-04), the self-proclaimed “best pickleball player in Congress,” to talk through the latest news on Iran, rising costs, and the World Cup. Stanton, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, discusses the Trump Administration’s light-on-details Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Iran that surrenders billions of dollars in concessions with only the promise of future talks. The members also discussed the newest inflation numbers – the highest in three years – and how the war is supercharging the cost of living crisis. Then the members got into the extreme heat affecting the World Cup, and Rep. Stanton talked about his work on the Congressional Extreme Heat Caucus to designate heat waves as natural disasters and make sure people get the assistance they need to keep their AC’s running.
