The Fog (1980)

from Apocalypse Video · host apocalypse-video.com

I’m starting to think our store is cursed. First, a nuclear explosion destroys our Adult Film section, then Chad’s A.I. turns evil and tries to kill us. Now, in what may be the biggest slight yet, our toilet - the only working toilet in all of Sector 2 - is on the fritz. And to add insult to injury, there’s a mysterious and foul smelling fog emanating around the septic tank out back. When will this madness end?! Aside from our extensive collection of Criterion films, the promise of a functioning crapper is one of the few draws the store still has left. Thankfully, the answer to our problem may just lie in an underrated John Carpenter classic...I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as we avoid yet another problem by watching movies are fellow cinephiles Ryan Caldwell and Michael Althouse.Listen as we discuss how Tom Atkins may be the greatest “non traditional” leading man in cinema history; we discuss the origins of the legendary “Stomach Pounder”, and finally, we consider changing careers and applying for the highly competitive position of Midnight Jazz Disc Jockey/Lighthouse Keeper.Be sure to rate, review and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. You can also Follow Us on Twitter or Like Us on Facebook. This is David Snider from Sector 2 saying, Look Out! The Fog is heading towards Bartertown! Stay inside! Lock your windows! There’s something in the Fog!!!
