Welcome to the tweet trends podcast. Hey, what's trending today? Hey, I mean, hey girl and you are tuned in to try and It's the quickest way to find out what's trending today Hey, welcome back. It's April Fool's Day.

Let's get started With today being April Fool's Day I would like to talk about the fact that at some point in time all of us will play the fool now I'm not trying to call any one person a fool But there are times that some of us choose to play that role with like we're okay with it But we're okay with playing that role and then other times you have no clue that you are being taken for a ride And those are the really sad times when you're just kind of like, oh man How did I get caught up in that like seriously? What made me think that even made sense because a lot of times in these foolish situations when you look back at it and really analyze it It is amazing how it even got over and passed all the security barriers and barricades and all that in your mind And in your spirit and you're just around you It's amazing how some of the things can just kind of get in there infiltrate so to speak So that's what I want to talk about today. I want to talk about how everybody plays the fool the first part that I want to talk about I was listening to the Breakfast Club earlier this morning and Angela G was out so Charlemagne and DJ envy were giving Relationship advice to the callers that were calling in and there were two young ladies They called in and I so wanted them to get to the end of their little story to get their advice And then to just kind of like April Bulls, but they didn't both of them were in five-year relationships with a guy Now it's separate These aren't they're not in the relationship with the same guy and just happened in both of these stories The ladies are saying that they've been in a relationship for five years The first young lady was saying that her boyfriend the two of them they live together They share the rent he doesn't have a driver's license So she drives him to work and pretty much takes care of him. However, they have since broken up like they don't date anymore But they cohabitate and she does all this stuff and she was calling for advice and in my mind This is one of those situations where you know what you don't mind playing the fool because I don't see how on God's green earth I am going to be dating you.

We're living together. You break up with me and Although we're broken up. I still have to drive you to work You know There's this thing called uber if you have a job that means you make money if you make money that means you can figure out A way to get to and from work without me having to go out of my way to make sure that you get there You know I get it that they are on the lease together and whatnot And so maybe it's a matter of you're trying to wait out the lease so that you can then get out of it Get out of that place and move on But she did not seem she said that she felt bad Because he didn't have a driver's license and whatnot and in my mind I'm thinking is it your fault the reason why he doesn't have a license because of so I don't understand why you're feeling bad about anything Did he feel bad when he broke up with you? Seriously now the other young lady her story is a little bit different She's engaged to a guy and she said that you know They've been dating for five years and for every holiday the entire time that they've been dating There's been no question as to where they go on holidays.

Did they spend them together? Well this Easter he has made her aware that he is going to go to church and then go to work and therefore She is not invited to go along with him Once again, this is another shady little situation here because in my mind I'm thinking is there a limit to the number of people that can go to church is There some reason why I can't go there like is it because you think I can't find a way home because I'm a big girl I can get an uber and there goes that uber again uber can help you and So she's confused and I'm thinking to myself no, but there's nothing to be confused about something has changed and You unfortunately are being played. Why else would you not be allowed to go to church? Really?

So I said all of that to say that there are times when there's a situation that comes up and we may not think about the specifics in the moment But when we look back at them when you tell that story to somebody else and then you look at it through the lens of that other person It should slap you in the face that you are being played for fool Now this last piece has to deal with Lil Nas X and all of the commotion around him his video his sneakers All of the shenanigans and I cannot for the life of me understand why people aren't realizing that they have been played for a fool Get it. So this is holy week So does it surprise you that he's come out with some Satan sneakers during holy week? You got to think about it shoes don't get made overnight So this wasn't a decision. It was made the night before these shoes have been created They were 666 pairs of them time and energy had to go into that They create these shoes.

They put all of this crazy stuff about it with blood in the shoe and the pentagram and all of that good stuff Yeah During holy week do you not see where that's like a huge coincidence? And then let's move on to the music video People are up in arms about it like oh my gosh. My kids love you. They look up to you.

You can't do this Well, first off. Yes, he can and he did and nobody can say anything about it unless you hired Lil Nas X as your babysitter You're the only person that would have some say in anything and even in that it would be like You know what he's gonna grow up at some point in time and gonna do things that your kids probably don't need to be exposed to So that's when you step up as a parent and you do the parenting thing by saying okay this right here That's off limits It is mind-boggling to me about all of the extra Hoopla around all of this and how it equates to dollars for him and his organization his people with every single negative tweet comment or whatever or Mention that added viewers to the video Because people wanted to see what was all the commotion about Then on top of that it was free advertisement for the sneakers all of the shoes sold out You know in this particular situation I don't think people realize that because it is human nature undoubtedly to want to cause the fire cause the smoke You know clap back. It's like everybody thinks that they have something clever to say and like it's gonna be so earth-shattering They're just gonna go my gosh. What do we think about that?

Yeah, no It's not how it works though, you know him and his people real you in and made you do what they knew you would do with that type of information They made you broadcast their story. They made you Give free advertisement, you know, and you may be saying well you're doing the same thing you're talking about them on your podcast I am but the shoes have already been sold the video has already been watched. This is old news So the way I look at it I'm just reporting on the phenomenon that took place because of all of the people they were up in arms about the situation So there you have it. I Hope you not only enjoyed today's episode But I hope that you will enjoy the rest of your week and weekend as you attempt to make it through the rest of this April Fool's day Without somebody making you into the fool.
