The Foreign Joys and Lessons of Parenting That Only the Creator and the Gospel Can Unveil

We talk about our experiences as new parents half-way into our first year. As usual on the Foreign Saints podcast we do our best to be genuine about the difficulties but also the joy and fun that exists in parenting that our American culture doesn't acknowledge. We talk about the different ways motherhood and fatherhood call each of us to lay down our lives already and recognize the truth that even our own bodies are not our own. We discuss how this foreign concept found only in Christ's blood is the lifeblood by which parents keep soldiering on through hardship and enable them to found the deepest of joys in moments that parents of this world can only see exhaustion and depletion. This is not all there will be to say on the topic of course but this is quite a stirring discussion sure to move any Christian into a place of gospel centered worship for God the Father who gave up so much to be able to parent each of us.
