Jesus taught many times by using common illustrations. He used things such as salt, bread, sheep, ect. However, at some point, He began to teach in parables by telling earthly stories that reveal Heavenly truth. They were not as clear and easy to understand in how they applied to the Kingdom of Heaven. Many today wonder why Jesus would do such a thing. Join us this Sunday as we kick off our series, “Parables From Jesus.” We will begin with the parable of “The Four Soils.” Here, Jesus drops some Heavenly truth and also explains why He began to speak in parables.
