The Four Tops

This week on KBLA’s Lyric Lounge, we pay tribute to the legendary Four Tops, celebrating their timeless contributions to the world of Motown and R&B. Join Tosha, Teal, and Ural as they dive into the soulful and unforgettable music of this iconic group. Ural kicks things off with the dynamic and passionate "Bernadette." This track showcases the powerful lead vocals of Levi Stubbs, accompanied by the group's impeccable harmonies. "Bernadette" is a testament to the Four Tops' ability to convey intense emotion and storytelling through music. Queen Tosha continues the tribute with the smooth and romantic "Ain't No Woman (Like the One I Got)." The lush instrumentation and the group's harmonious vocals create a timeless love anthem. Teal wraps up our tribute with the reflective and soothing "Still Waters (Peace)/(Love)." The song's dual themes of peace and love resonate deeply, offering a message of tranquility and unity that is as relevant today as it was when the song was first released.
