The Fox and the Grapes｜狐狸与葡萄

出自｜伊索寓言 Once upon a time there was a clever little fox His name was Felix and his belly was very hungry He walked through the forest under the hot summer sun Oh I wish I had something sweet to eat he said Suddenly he stopped and looked up high On a tall wooden fence he saw something wonderful A big bunch of juicy purple grapes They looked so sweet so round and so delicious Yum Felix licked his lips and smiled Those grapes are exactly what I need He stood on his tiptoes and reached up high But the grapes were just a little bit too high Felix took a few steps back and took a deep breath One two three and JUMP He missed them by just one inch No problem I can jump higher than that He tried again with a much bigger leap He stretched his paws as far as he could But once more he landed back on the grass The sun was getting hotter and Felix was getting tired He tried jumping from the left and then from the right He tried running fast and bouncing like a ball But the purple grapes stayed right where they were They seemed to be laughing at the hungry little fox Felix sat down and wiped the sweat from his face His legs were heavy and his heart was a little sad He looked at the grapes one last time They are so beautiful he whispered to himself Then he stood up and turned his nose away He put on a proud face and walked away slowly I didn't really want those grapes anyway I am sure they are very very sour They are probably not even good for me He kept walking without looking back once Poor Felix he was still very hungry But he felt better telling himself a little lie And that is the story of the sour grapes Remember it is easy to hate what you cannot have前往小宇宙评论区与主播互动
