The Fox and the Hound (1981)

from The Latecomers

Show Notes Once upon a time, we thought we were going to watch a movie about the trials of friendship. Then we watched Disney’s The Fox and the Hound and found it was no such thing. In a film touted to be a paragon of empathy and friendship we find willful misunderstanding, profiling, hypocritical rage, violence, more parental loss, and so many characters who know this relationship is doomed against the wishes and best efforts of Tod, the fox and the only truly good character in the film.  Recommendations: Robert Redford films - any or all of them Next up: The Black Cauldron (1985)   Email us at [email protected] Our Facebook group is here for those who consent: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1754020081574479/
