The 'Freedom Convoy' and policing protests

There were other Freedom Convoy demonstrations across the country this weekend, including in Toronto, but their effect was mitigated as other police forces and other authorities learned from Ottawa police's missteps and managed to control protesters. Protesters and police from around the world are watching what is happening in Canada's capital and many wonder if a new playbook for civil disobedience and how to handle it are being written right before our eyes.
