At 08:43 AM Philippine Standard Time (PST), 27 July 2022, a major earthquake with magnitude (Mw) 7.0 shook the provinces in Northwestern Luzon and adjacent areas including Metro Manila. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reports that the earthquake caused 11 deaths, 574 injured. In-spite the threat of numerous aftershocks, our modern day heroes geared up and headed to Abra to extend medical and food assistance for some 28 evacuation centers sheltering 884 families and 2,969 individuals.  Joining me is Mr. Maximino Camacho, Presidential Adviser on Alalayang Agila, Office of the National President of The Fraternal Order of Eagles, Philippine Eagles, a First Philippine born Fraternal Socio-Civic Organization.
