“The Fulfilment”
from "Prayer Changes Everything" Devotion for Today Hosted by Y.E.S. Jesus Youth Encountering Savior Jesus
September 10, 2024 Daily Devotion: “The Fulfilment” Micah 4:12 New International Version 12 But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord they do not understand his plan, that he has gathered them like sheaves to the threshing floor. When we read prophecy, we may get confused with the times of the fulfilment of that prophecy (I, at least, get) confused with it!). We have to be very careful when we read Scriptures like today. In today´s verses, Micah is talking about two different times. In verses 9-10, he is talking about the exile to Babylon and the return to the land under King Cyrus. In verses 11-13, there is a Messianic prophecy referred to the Armageddon right before Christ´s second coming. There are times in our lives when we don´t understand what God is doing. We just don´t get it. He does things in a way we wouldn´t and allows things that we don´t want to live. But, as Romans 8:28 says, for those who love God all things – the good ones, the bad ones, the difficult ones, the hard times, the tears, the sorrows, all things! – work together for good. We may get confused by how God does things. But we can never doubt that He will work everything for our good and His glory even when we don´t understand His will.
