After three months of what President Biden called an indiscriminate bombardment, the future of Gaza remains a point of disagreement between Israel and the U.S. President Biden wants to see Gaza under a revitalized Palestinian Authority as a step toward a two-state solution, an idea opposed by the fragile Israeli government. Can an independent Palestinian state be born out of the rubble and loss of life? Dr. Atef Gawad discussed this important topic with his guests: Mr. Khalil E. Jahshan and Professor Gregory Aftandilian. Khalil E. Jahshan Is a Palestinian-American political analyst and media commentator. He serves as the Executive Director of Arab Center Washington DC. Previously, Jahshan served as the Executive Vice President of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) and Director of its government affairs affiliate, the National Association of Arab Americans (NAAA)-ADC. Gregory Aftandilian Is a Senior Professorial Lecturer at American University in Washington, D.C., where he teaches courses on US foreign policy and Middle East politics. He is also a Non-resident Fellow at Arab Center in Washington, D.C. He previously worked for the U.S. Government for more than 20 years, including as a Middle East analyst in the U.S. State Department.
