The biggest World Cup in the history of women’s football is well underway, with the action in France already having a significant impact back in the UK. Natalie Sawyer is joined by two people who have been integral to the development of the women’s game in this country. Former England captain with 90 caps for her country, Faye White. And the FA director for the women’s professional game Kelly Simmons. We discuss the potential influence France 2019 can have, how the sport has progressed to a more professional model and the training schemes and initiatives that are encouraging young girls to pursue football as a profession.
