The Future We Observe 🔮

What if the future isn't something we simply arrive at? What if the way we observe a possible future becomes part of the way we move toward it? In this episode, I explore the relationship between observation, attention, intuition, expectation, and the futures we experience. I've been thinking about this through my own experiences with uncertainty, relationships, tarot, intuition, and the process of learning to stop waiting for one particular outcome. Our expectations influence what we notice. What we notice influences our emotional state. Our emotional state influences our choices. And our choices influence what becomes possible next. There is nothing mystical required to see this happening in our everyday lives. And yet, there are also experiences that raise deeper questions about intuition and our ability to sense possibilities before we consciously understand them. To what extent do we have creative control over what happens next and to what extent are things predestined? And to what extent are you unnecessarily fixated on a future outcome that you have made it your fate?
