from GrinCast - a podcast about videogaming and games from GameGrin · host GameGrin

This week on the GrinCast we pull our wellies on and wade into the unpleasantness of GamerGate Warning: The main topic of this podcast is a divisive one and has been hotly debated in the past. Though we have tried to treat it in a strictly analytical manner, you may find some of the opinions expressed combative. This week on the GrinCast we're talking the latest news about the HTC Vive and its surprising price tag, the Kickstarter-successful Papers, Please clone that puts you into Edward Snowden's shoes and the re-release of the original Pokémon games. We're also pulling on our proverbial wellies and wading into the murky waters of gaming's least-wanted phenomenon: #GamerGate. Was there any real concern over ethics in games journalism when it started or was it an an excuse for harrassment and misguided anger? We go over the topic from an analytical standpoint to dig out why and how it started. As always if you have any comments put them in the box below or contact us on our new Twitter handle @GrinCast.
