A Connecticut native, she studied International Relations at Catholic University of America and University College Dublin, later working as an FBI analyst after an internship with NCIS’ Cold Case Homicide Unit and spending two years with the Department of Homeland Security in Vermont. Her fascination with the supernatural began in childhood, growing up in a reportedly haunted home in East Hampton that was investigated by the Warren family. Courtney has authored six books, including Haunted Mystic, Revolutionary War Ghosts of Connecticut, Civil War Ghosts of Connecticut and the Civil War Ghosts of Georgia volumes, and has appeared as a historian on Travel Channel’s Portals to Hell and Ghost Adventures.
