The Gen Z Revolution - Kenyan Protests

from The Discourse · host j-Lake

All over Africa, protest movements are emerging. We have seen thousands of people taking to the streets of Kenya and other countries; they demonstrate, tweet and blog for more democracy, self-determination and against authoritarian governments. In this series of the Gen Z revolution editions, the first part centres around the protests in Kenya, incidentally organized by young Kenyans who have forced the current President William Ruto to fire almost the entire cabinet. My guest is Victor Otengo, a journalist in Kenya and currently the head of entertainment at Kenya's biggest digital media outlet TUKO.co.ke.
