Guest: Youma DJIGUÉ Communication & Partnership Manager African Culture Fund Youma, a Mali native and the communications and partnership manager for the Africa Cultural Fund, joins us to discuss how she has come to view acts of kindness and sacrifice as more of a calling than a chore. She goes on to say that there isn't just one way to give. To explain the Maya worldview (Maya means "humanity" in Bambara), she says, "We as Africans are generous; we can utilize our expertise to better the lives of individuals or groups of individuals.” Youma enlightens us on the initiatives of the Africa Cultural Fund and how it supports Mali's creative community and related institutions to keep African creativity alive.
