The events of the past are but shadows. In Charles Dicken's creation A Christmas Carol The Ghost of Christmas Past is a strange, otherworldly creature which shimmers and flickers like a candlelight- in it's hand the Ghost holds a branch of holly to symbolise winter.  On this winter night, on the eve before Christmas, we visit Ghosts of the Past connected with Christmas time.
