He made us understand the biblical pattern of calling: God brings us out of darkness and into a new vocation as His royal priesthood, saved not only from sin but into a life of preaching, serving, and reaching the lost. As kings and priests, our greatest responsibility is preaching and prayer—because God moves on the earth through what His people preach and pray. Where we cannot go, prayer goes. What we cannot do, prayer accomplishes. Prayer works.
