The Gifts of the Spirit: The Gifts of Healing Day 1 - What Are the Gifts of Healing?

Awakened to Deliver – The Gifts of the Spirit Week 27, Day 1: What Are the Gifts of Healing? Key Verse: 1 Corinthians 12:9 (NASB 2020) “…to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit.” ⸻ Episode Highlights • The “gifts of healing” are plural, not a single gift—each one is uniquely distributed by the Spirit. • Healing is distinct from natural recovery or faith-based prayer—it’s a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit. • These gifts don’t depend on a formula, emotion, or even the recipient’s faith—they flow from obedience. • Healing through the Spirit reveals God’s Kingdom, magnifies Jesus, and confirms the power of the Gospel. • You don’t need a ministry title to be used by God in healing—you just need a surrendered “yes.” ⸻ Scriptures to Reflect On • 1 Corinthians 12:9 – The Spirit distributes gifts of healing. • Acts 3:6–8 – The lame man walked by the power of Jesus’ name. • James 5:15 – The prayer of faith restores the sick. • Matthew 10:7–8 – Jesus commands His followers to heal the sick. • Acts 4:30 – Healing testifies to the name of Jesus. • Isaiah 53:5 – By His wounds we are healed. • 1 Corinthians 12:11 – The Spirit gives as He wills. • Luke 11:13 – The Father gives the Holy Spirit to those who ask. ⸻ Takeaway Thought The gifts of healing aren’t about hype or human power—they’re about Jesus receiving glory. They’re not reserved for the few, but available to those who say “yes” to the Spirit’s prompting. If Christ dwells in you, then healing power can flow through you. ⸻ Stay Connected Download your free 30 Days of Patience devotional and explore more resources using the Linktree in the show notes.
