The Gifts of the Spirit: The Gifts of Healing Day 3 - How the Spirit Chooses and Uses Vessels

Awakened to Deliver – The Gifts of the Spirit Week 27, Day 3: How the Spirit Chooses and Uses Vessels Key Verse: 1 Corinthians 12:11 (NASB 2020) “But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.” ⸻ Episode Highlights • The gifts of healing are distributed by the Holy Spirit according to His will—not based on merit or ministry title. • God chooses surrendered, available vessels—not the most polished or perfect. • Ananias, Stephen, and Philip were ordinary believers, yet healing flowed through their obedience. • Your wounds and weaknesses don’t disqualify you—they make you usable. • The gifts may look different in each person, but they all serve one purpose: to glorify Jesus. ⸻ Scriptures to Reflect On • 1 Corinthians 12:11 – The Spirit distributes the gifts individually as He wills. • Acts 9:17–18 – Ananias lays hands on Saul and he is healed. • 2 Corinthians 4:7 – We carry treasure in earthen vessels. • Acts 2:17 – God pours out His Spirit on all flesh. • James 4:2 – You do not have because you do not ask. • Matthew 25:14–30 – The parable of the talents shows God’s expectation to steward our gifts. ⸻ Takeaway Thought The same Spirit who healed through Jesus, the apostles, and the early Church now lives in you. If you’re filled with the Holy Spirit, you’ve already been qualified. But a gift unused is a gift buried. Say yes. Step out.
