The Giver of True Wisdom

“For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.”Proverbs 2:6We live in a world overflowing with information, yet genuine wisdom seems increasingly rare. We can search the internet in seconds, read countless books, or listen to experts on almost any subject. But none of these can replace the wisdom that comes from God.Proverbs reminds us that wisdom is not something we manufacture by our own intelligence. It is a gift from the Lord. He delights to give wisdom to those who seek Him with humble and teachable hearts. As we spend time reading His Word, praying, and obeying what He reveals, He shapes our thinking so that we begin to see life from His perspective.God’s wisdom is practical. It helps us speak with kindness when we are provoked, make wise decisions when we face uncertainty, and remain faithful when temptation comes. It guards us from foolish choices that often bring sorrow and points us in paths that honour Christ.If you are facing a difficult decision today, don’t rely only on your own reasoning. Open your Bible before you open your phone. Seek the Lord before seeking the opinions of others. The God who created you knows the way ahead, and He has promised to give the wisdom you need through His Word.PrayerHeavenly Father, thank You for being the source of all true wisdom. Help me to seek Your counsel before my own understanding and to treasure the truth of Your Word each day. Give me wisdom to live in a way that pleases You and brings glory to Your name.
