Jussi Aalto (the Finnish National Opera Orchestra) and Max Savikangas (violist and composer, freelance) had a nice chat with the Norwegian-born solo viola player of the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Jakob Dingstad. We wanted to find out how does the Finnish orchestral work life seem through the eyes of someone coming from abroad. Jakob being an active international violist performing all over the world would have a great insight.
