Writing to Timothyin Ephesus, Paul warns against false teaching, speculation, andmisuse of the law. True doctrine produces love from a pureheart, a good conscience, and sincere faith. The law is goodwhen used lawfully (verse 8): it exposes sin and leads to gratefulobedience, but it cannot save.
