He is married to Mike Donnelly-Boylen, an obesity care advocate, known on TikTok as Mike on a Mission.Dr. Donnelly-Boylen earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2012. He completed his psychiatry residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital program in 2016, followed by a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2017.He has worked in emergency psychiatry and consultation-liaison psychiatry at a safety-net city hospital and currently practices public psychiatry at a state hospital. After witnessing the high rates of co-occurring psychiatric and metabolic illness among his patients, he pursued additional training in obesity medicine and became board-certified in 2025.
