The Gnarly Cuban- Marly and Nina decided to pop-up bringing their handmade twist on traditional Cuban cuisine so that everyone could enjoy the Latin flavors that they were raised on and people love it

I got to spend a lunch break with Marly and Nina, the owners of The Gnarly Cuban- a women-owned business that is putting its gnarly twist on traditional Cuban Cuisine.   I spoke to Marly and Nina about how they started and came up with the name The Gnarly Cuban.  We discussed how they came up with and developed their recipes, especially having Cuban abuelas (grandmas) and how they cook by look and smell and not measurements.  I spoke to them about the difficulties of pop-up life, as well as, how they have evolved in their preparation and process with their growth.  We spoke about Cuba and being first-generation Cuban-owned and our favorite Cuban food. They also provided us with some great tips and advice on starting out, as well as, living in the world of internet reviews.
