The Gnostic Deception

We step off our Red-Letter journey for a second. We may do more of this depending on feedback. In today's world, we learn through a variety of different media. Some think watching the Chosen is akin to reading the Bible! It is not but I won't begrudge anyone watching that series. There are far worse places you can go and hear what sounds like Biblical knowledge. But the media-scape pays attention to what you pay attention to. So it is not hard for other disinformation to cross your path. YouTube algorithms notice what you like and they try to put more of what you like in your path. Unfortunately, the algorithms are far from discriminating. "Spiritual" gets lumped into one big category and you're presented all sorts of non-biblical, spiritual information.  The YouTube video that launched this podcast is called: The Vatican Banned the Secret Book of James That Reveals the Most Dangerous Words of Jesus - https://youtu.be/nIGQn3h-GuU?si=IVf2R1hkU4hwqR2p  There's always a hook! When I went through Click Funnels training, there is an entire series of teaching devoted to "the hook". You can see how it draws you in, just by reading the title! I generally do pay attention to these, it's unavoidable - they are the headlines. And for some reason, they are landing in my feed more and more... perhaps because I want to know what they say so that I can help others fight the deception. Still, the amount of information out there is impossible to keep up with. I often feel like any commentary or warnings on media that pretends to be biblical just falls on deaf ears.
