In 1945, an Egyptian man discovered a collection of ancient papyrus books hidden in a clay jar, which were later revealed to be the lost scriptures of a mysterious Christian sect known as the Gnostics. These texts present a "heretical" creation theory claiming that serpentine lizardmen called Archons created humanity as ignorant vessels, a secret that the sources suggest explains various "sci-fi" elements and physical descriptions in the Old Testament.
