On March 1st, 1932, Charles Lindbergh Jr was settled into his bed in for the night, when someone used a ladder to climb to the 2nd story window and take the child from his family. The kidnapper left behind a note containing details of a ransom that would need to be paid in order for the child’s safe return to his family. Two agonizing months after Charles Jr. vanished, his dead body was found within miles of his home.
