The God Who Became a Slave

“Live Eternally.” John writes his gospel “so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.” This “life” is Zoe in Greek. It differs from bios life. Zoe life is God’s life. It is the kind of life that lives forever. It never decays. Though originally assumed to be something attainable only in heaven, John dares us to find that life in Jesus today. This is the life God wants us to live, right now. A piece of Himself within us. A bit of heaven on earth before Jesus returns. Eternal life is not merely life after death, but also life before death. — Pastor Brandon
