The Golden Candlestick: Christ our Power

With three layers of various materials covering the windowless tent, the Golden Menorah provided the only light in the Holy Place. Made of pure, beaten gold, six branches fanned out from a single stem to complete seven lamps filled with olive oil. They symbolized the only true illumination which flows from God to man. Jesus said, "I am the light of the world." He then said, "Ye are the light of the world." With Jesus now in Heaven, and we the only light in a dark world, our job would be impossible were it not for the filling of the Holy Spirit.
