from Strange Things with Chris James · host Chris James
In Jewish folklore, a golem is an animated anthropomorphic being, magically created entirely from inanimate matter. The word was used to mean an amorphous, unformed material, usually out of stone or clay. This was a lot like what God did making Adam from clay only man was now meddling in God stuff. Another definition is a Golem is a giant, handmade monster, usually enslaved to a Jewish Rabbi or a magician.
