The Golf Insiders 10/23/13

Once you've done this it will add The Golf Insiders podcast as an App to your home screen.  Holly G and Rich Bianco are in the studio talking about Webb Simpson's win by 6 strokes at the Shriners Hospitals for Children.  The Space Coast Pro Tour handed out a $5,000 first place check to Evan Harmeling after he won the inaugural two-day tournament at Reunion Golf Course Tuesday. Bob Harig, ESPN.com, calls in to talk about the latest news that Brandon Chamblee has accused Tiger Woods of cheating in his Golf.com article. Bob stated that calling someone a cheater is a pretty harsh statement. Bob and Holly talk about the whole tough year for rules for Tiger. Rich B talks about making the call when you are playing with someone and you do the best job you can at that moment. Honesty and Integrity are the biggest parts of the game.  In one instance, the Masters, the officials didn't even talk to Tiger about his drop during the event. Holly and Rich also talk about so many different options you have when reading the rules and what the player can do. Florida Golf Central Magazine's Publisher, Terrie Purdum, calls in from the Grand Cypress Resort, where they have changed some of the holes around on the course. Terrie also talks about all the charity work going on in the Central Florida area. Terrie talks about all the news coming up in the next few issues of FGCM.  Todd Lewis, The Golf Channel, calls in to wrap up the show. Talks about the PGA Tour event in Malaysia and the coverage on the Golf Channel. Todd talks about how many golfers are kicking off the wrap around season. Like Phil Mickelson who is scaling down his schedule in 2014 so he can focus on the major championships. Some other golfers are taking the same approach that Steve Stricker did this past year and how well a modification to his schedule worked out for him. Todd said that he didn't win but he was in contention at almost every event this past year.
