The choice is ours and yours.The good and the bad both were Born when the Milky Ocean was churned;For the good, Chandappa is their elder brother, The wicked have Kalakootappa as their edler brother!Man, you choose!YoursVisvesvara DikshitaThe Good and the BadKannada Kali CastingVijayadashami, Oct 12, 2024_____ಚೆನ್ನುಡಿಒಳ್ಳಿದರು ಕೆಟ್ಟವರುನೂನಂ ದುಗ್ಧಾಬ್ಧಿಮಂಥೋತ್ಥಾ - ವಿಮೌ ಸುಜನದುರ್ಜನೌ;ಕಿಂತ್ವಿಂದೋಃ ಸೋದರಃ ಪೂರ್ವಃ ಕಾಲಕೂಟಸ್ಯ ಚೇತರಃ ! ಸುಭಾಷಿತರತ್ನಭಾಂಡಾಗಾರಇದು ಸುಭಾಷಿತ ಭಾಂಡಾಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿನ ಒಂದು ಅಣಿಮುತ್ತು.ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದವು? ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರು ಕೆಟ್ಟವರು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾದರೂ ಹೇಗೆ? ಒಂದೇ ಮನೆತನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರಲ್ಲೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟವರೂ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಕೌರವ ಪಾಂಡವರ ಕತೆ ಯಾರು ಕೇಳಿಲ್ಲ. ರಾಕ್ಷಸ ಹಿರಣ್ಯಕಷ್ಯಪುವಿನ ಮಗ ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದ‌, ರಾವಣನ ತಮ್ಮ ವಿಭೀಷಣ ಹೇಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರಾದರು? ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ದಾಯಾದಿಗಳಾದ ಯಾದವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲೆ ಹೊಡೆದಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿರ್ನಾಮವಾದರಲ್ಲ! ವಂಶವಾಹಿನಿ Geneಗಳು ಕಾರಣ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಎಲ್ಲ ಒಂದೇ! ಬೆಳೆದ ವಾತಾವರಣ ಕಾರಣ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅದೂ ಒಂದೇ. ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಒಂದೇ.‌ ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯಾಕೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸುವುದು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯ.ಸಮುದ್ರಮಂಥನ ಕತೆ ನಿಮಗೆಲ್ಲ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ. ದೇವದಾನವರು, ಇವರೂ ಅಕ್ಕ ತಂಗಿಯರ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ, ಅಮೃತಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಮಂದರ ಪರ್ವತವನ್ನು ಕಡೆಗೋಲಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಾಸುಕಿಯನ್ನು ಹಗ್ಗವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕ್ಷೀರ ಸುಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ಕಡೆದರು. ಆಗ ಮೊದಲು ಬಂದದ್ದೇ ಕಾಲಕೂಟ, ಹಾಲಾಹಲ, ಕೆಟ್ಟ ವಿಷ. ನಂತರ ಚಂದ್ರ ಬಂದ. ಚಂದ್ರನೋ ಶೀತಾಂಶು, ತಾರೆಗಳ ರಾಜ, ಓಷಧಿಗಳ ಪೋಷಕ, ಹಾಲ್‌ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಹೊಳಪ, ‌ಪ್ರೇಮಿಗಳ ಆಪ್ತಮಿತ್ರ, ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಚಕ್ಕುಲಿ ಮಾಮ, ನಮ್ಮ ಹಬ್ಬಹುಣ್ಣಿಮೆಗಳ calendar keeper ಕೂಡ! ಒಂದೇ ಹುಟ್ಟು, ಕಾಲಕೂಟ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಾದರೆ, ಚಂದಪ್ಪ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಬೇಕಾದವನಾದ. ಇದಕ್ಕೂ ಮತ್ತೂ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿನ ಒಳ್ಳೆ-ಕೆಟ್ಟವರಿಗೂ ಏನು ಸಂಬಂಧ? ಇದೋ ನೋಡಿ, ಕವಿ ಕಲ್ಪನೆ:ಒಳ್ಳಿದರು ಕೆಟ್ಟವರು ಕೂಡೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದರು ಹಾಲ್‌ ಕಡಲ ಕಡೆಯೆ;ಸರಳರಿಗೆ ಅಣ್ಣ ಚಂದಪ್ಪ, ದುರುಳರಿಗೆ ಹಾಲಾಹಲಪ್ಪ!ನಾವು ಕೂಡ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು ಈ ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲೆ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ ಕವಿ. ಆದರೆ, ದುರುಳರಿಗೆ ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ಹಾಲಹಲವೆ ಸೋದರ , ಸರಳರಿಗೆ ಶಿಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ಚಂದ್ರಮನೆ ಅಣ್ಣ ಅಂತೆ! ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ....
