The Good Fruit of Following Christ

Loving people in the church can feel impossible, especially when affection is thin. Jesus is the true vine, the faithful One who succeeds where Israel failed, and His disciples depend on His life like branches. The Father cleans and prunes them through the gospel so they bear fruit, chiefly love for one another. Remaining in Christ produces that love, strengthens godly character and witness, and glorifies God; apart from Him, no lasting fruit is possible. Bible Reference: John 15:1–8 Preacher: KJ Tromp
