Pride turns another person’s struggle into a chance to compare and feel superior. The gospel instead moves Christians to restore someone trapped in repeated sin gently, carry one another’s burdens, and take responsibility for the work God has given them. This love keeps doing good to everyone, especially fellow believers, because people reap what they sow. The cross changes the basis of identity.
