I Corinthians 6:9-11 Introductory thoughts: 1) Unrealized desires are not unique to homosexuals. 2) The Bible describes homosexual behavior as “unnatural.” 3) Our identity is not found in what we desire. 4) Context doesn’t determine morality. 5) Inconsistent application of Old Testament laws. 6) Homosexuality renders the cultural mandate an impossibility. 1. Homosexuality is not unique. 2. Homosexuality is a gospel issue. “For the essence of sin is man substituting himself for God, while the essence of salvation is God substituting himself for man.
