At 17, he converted to Evangelical Christianity. He graduated from Kyrgyz Technical University in 1998, majoring in cybernetics and engineering, then earned another bachelor’s degree in Christian Education from Bishkek Bible School in 2006. In 2013 he earned a master of theology degree specializing in Biblical Studies and Contextual Missiology. Ruslan is passionate about Intergenerational Leadership and Contextual Missiology, and is currently working on a PhD in Missiology at the International Baptist Theological Study Center at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Ruslan serves the Lausanne Movement as the Eurasian Regional Co-Director. He is married to Elena, and they have four sons: Roma, David, Robert, and Nathanael.
