December 28, 2025 As the year turns and we find ourselves in the in-between space after Christmas, Luke invites us into a rarely told story of Jesus’ childhood, one shaped not by miracles, but by faithful rhythms, growing awareness, and intentional formation. In Luke 2:21–52, we see Jesus learning, questioning, and orienting himself toward his Father’s purposes, even amid confusion. By tracing Luke’s bookends, from the temple in Jesus’ youth to the road to Emmaus, this message reveals how faith matures over time through searching, learning, and walking with Christ. As we enter a new year, we are invited to move beyond resolutions toward intentional rhythms of growth, asking not what we will achieve, but who we are becoming.
