The Gift OF THE GOSPEL The Gospel Is Good News. Matthew 9:35 “Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.” The word “Gospel” literally means “Good News.”  The two words summarize the whole story of Jesus, and the message that He desires to have an eternal relationship with each person. The Gospel Refers to the Power of God’s Gift. Romans 5:15 “But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!” Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Redemption – He paid the price. Reconciliation – He healed the relationship. Justification – He removed the consequence. The Gospel Is Turning the Page in Your Story. 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
