The Gravel at Denton's Curve

from Holler Tales — Fexingo Horror · host Fexingo

It was October of 2018, and I was driving back from a funeral in Elkins, West Virginia, when I took the shortcut through Denton's Curve on County Road 7. They say if you slow down to twenty miles an hour at the bend, you'll see a woman in a blue dress standing by the fence, waiting. I'd heard the story my whole life, but I'd never believed it. That night, with the fog sitting low in the hollows and my headlights cutting through the dark, I found out the truth. The woman isn't waiting for a ride. She's standing guard over something in the woods. Something that was buried there a long time ago. And if you stop, she'll show you exactly where it is. The gravel on that road sounds different when she's near — like it's being shifted underfoot, even when no one's walking. I got out of the car. I shouldn't have. This is what happened after I followed her into the trees. #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #HollerTales #DentonsCurve #CountyRoad7 #WestVirginia #BlueDressWoman #AppalachianHorror #RoadsideGhost #GravelVoices #October2018 #CabinPorch #LunaReads #SilentTrees #BuriedSecret #FogInTheHollows #ListenAtYourOwnRisk #AnthologyHorror Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
